Adding up to the theoretical part, GHRD also arranged for practical activities such as a visit to the International Criminal Court (ICC) to provide participants with the opportunity to attend current ongoing public hearings. On Wednesday the 10th of June, a few trainees, accompanied by a staff from GHRD, attended the hearing of Thomas Lubanga from the Democratic Republic of the Congo at the ICC. He is the first man ever to stand trial at the ICC in The Hague.

The next training will be conducted on Friday 12 June and the following on Friday 26 June.
