On the 8th of March which is the International Women’s Day, Human Rights Voice for Minorities (HRVM) is hosting an event with several activities centred on women’s issues, with the aim to raise awareness about the problems that minority women are facing in Pakistan. Four hundred women from the most neglected communities in society will be participating in the event that is supported by GHRD.
GHRD in collaboration with its partners in South Asia, have organised numerous events and activities to be celebrated on 8th March (International Women’s Day), and to strengthen the rights of women in Asia. A full report will be published within the next two weeks.
On the 8th of March, GHRD will celebrate International Women’s Day in collaboration with the Forum for Protection of People’s Rights (PPR), Maiti Nepal and the Bhutanese Community in The Netherlands. These organisations have planned various projects and activities to mark this special day.
Jabala Action Research Organisation will organise an IWD event themed: ‘Violence Against Women’. The objective of this event will be to raise community awareness on violence against women and demand a safe & equal world for women.
On the 16th January a 28 year old Dalit man was beaten to death. GHRD supported Parittran in an action raising awareness to his murder.
