GHRD presents on human rights in South Asia to students from the USA

GHRD representatives recently gave lectures to students from two top American universities – the University of Southern Utah and Lipscomb University Tennessee.

On the 12th and 18th May 2011, GHRD hosted two discussion sessions on human rights in South Asia for students from Lipscomb University Tennessee and the University of Southern Utah respectively.

The lectures covered GHRD’s activities and grassroots method of operation in South Asia on human rights documentation and reporting and discussed some of our recent events and achievements.

The lectures were an opportunity to show the GHRD documentary SOLD – A Child Trafficked, which appeared to have a significant effect on the students who then proceeded to ask questions and discuss the issue of trafficking in Nepal and India.

GHRD would like to thank both groups of students for two fascinating days and for their great contributions to the lectures and discussions. As always, spreading GHRD’s network abroad is best achieved through committed and interested individuals such as yourselves. Thanks guys!
