Together with GHRD, the Jabala Action Research Organization launched a project to help victims of human trafficking and violence in Murshidabad (West Bengal), giving them hope for a new life. The girls and young women involved have been victims of several human rights violations such as human trafficking, forced prostitution, child marriages and violence; with this project they are helped to overcome their plight.

The project not only aimed at providing shelter, but also to provide sustained guidance in order to help these girls and women to get their lives back on track, Specifically, the rehabilitation program aims to empower them economically by providing education and training that will eventually enable them to earn a livelihood independently. The project also focused on other target groups such as the victim's family members, stakeholders from the community, panchayati raj institutes and involved government officials.
