GHRD aims to conduct educational campaigns to promote freedom of religion or belief in target countries. The campaigns aim to promote the rights of religious minorities in Bangladesh and Pakistan through a participatory process, which also involves participation by members of the majority community. The campaign aims to educate and strengthen civil society so that they can deal with issues concerning freedom of religion or belief.
The educational programs will also include members of the majority community within the participatory process, informing them about the violations against religious minority communities and the need to safeguard the right to freedom of religion or belief. The inclusion of members of the majority community will ensure harmony between different religious communities in the target countries.
GHRD focuses on utilizing improvements in technology and innovations to improve the sustainability of its activities. The education campaigns in particular will leverage digital technologies, an innovative SMS/ WhatsApp hot line will be setup, to give the public an opportunity to report incidents of human rights violations against religious minorities. Social media (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube) will be utilized to the fullest extent to increase reach to a wider audience.
