Global Human Rights Defense (GHRD) is deeply concerned about the recent violent attacks targeting religious minorities in Bangladesh, which have resulted in the destruction of homes, places of worship, and businesses belonging to Hindu, Ahmadiyya, and other minority communities. These attacks represent a grave violation of human rights and threaten the principles of tolerance, diversity, and peaceful coexistence. GHRD urges the United Nations, governments, and the international community to take immediate action to address the crisis. They call for an independent, transparent investigation, accountability, compensation, restoration of security, and promotion of tolerance, dialogue, and coexistence. The international community has a moral and ethical responsibility to respond swiftly to this crisis, as failure to do so would betray the fundamental human rights of the affected communities and undermine global efforts to build a more just, equitable, and harmonious world.
GHRD is organizing a meeting at our office on the first floor on the 16th of August from 16:00-18:00. This event will also be covered live by our news channel GHRTV.
