Meet the team

My name is Alejandra Martínez Otero-Saavedra. As the UN Team Coordinator at GHRD, I keep track of political and human rights developments worldwide. My responsibilities involve analytical research, reporting and advocacy, including articles that highlight humanitarian crises and the situations faced by affected communities. Having a background in Law and International Relations, I approach my work through evidence-based analysis and aim to amplify the experiences of groups whose concerns are insufficiently addressed in policy discussions. I am also interested in sustainability and the interaction between human rights and environmental challenges, particularly in areas where climate impacts aggravate existing vulnerabilities. Beyond written advocacy, I collaborate with delegates and civil society to support accurate and informed engagement at the public and diplomatic level. I joined GHRD because I value its commitment to reporting on issues that require sustained attention at the international level.
