Meet the team

My name is Wiktoria Walczyk, and I am half Polish and half Belarusian. I hold an LL.B. and an LL.M. in International and European Law, with a focus on Public International Law and Modern Human Rights Law. I gained experience in data protection and compliance at Credit Suisse before joining UBS, where I worked as a Business Manager in the compliance department and as an Outside Counsel Relationship Manager in the legal department. Since October 2024, I have served as Head Coordinator at Global Human Rights Defence (GHRD), overseeing teams, advising the Chairman on strategic matters, developing internal procedures, coordinating human rights research and publications, and organising international conferences and events. Previously, I co-coordinated the Asia Team, focusing on research and advocacy initiatives. My work at GHRD reflects my commitment to human rights and global justice, combining my legal background with organisational leadership and international advocacy. I am particularly interested in how international law and human rights frameworks can be used to address global challenges and support those whose rights are at risk.
