Our Mission and Global Focus

Global Human Rights Defence (GHRD) stands for action, awareness, and advocacy. Based in The Hague and accredited by the United Nations ECOSOC status, GHRD is committed to protecting and promoting the human rights of minorities and marginalized communities worldwide.

GHRD focuses on regions and issues that often receive limited attention from mainstream media. Our dedicated research teams produce detailed articles and reports on key topics such as Women’s Rights, Children’s Rights, and International Justice. We also cover developments across regions, including East Asia, Southeast Asia and the Pacific, Pakistan, and Europe.

Our United Nations Team represents GHRD during the United Nations Human Rights Council and General Assembly sessions. Beyond research, the team actively engages in advocacy, drafting written and oral statements, submitting articles, and networking with diplomats and civil society partners to amplify the voices of marginalized communities on an international stage.

Through our events and protests, GHRD raises public awareness and mobilizes communities to stand against injustice. These initiatives connect people from all backgrounds in the shared mission of defending human rights.
